Frequently asked questions

Installed correctly and taken care of properly, no, extensions will not damage your hair. However, if they are not installed correctly and/or cared for correctly there can be damage that occurs to either your hair, the extension hair or both. I take great care to make sure that they are installed safely and not only tell you how to care for them but send you home with a care card and the things you need to get started.

Caring for them is so easy!  Wash once or twice a week with a recommended shampoo and conditioner. Blow dry COMPLETELY. Leaving the wefts damp at the root can limit the life of your extensions and cause swelling at the connection point on hand tied extensions and they will need to be replaced much sooner. Brush thoroughly at least twice a day with the recommended brush to remove any tangles. Use of hot tools is fine, just do use heat over 350 degrees. There is more, but these are the basics! 

The cost all depends on what you are looking for. I require an inperson consultation for extensions. At this appointment we will go over your goals, what option is best for you and price. To get a general idea you can see the base pricing on my hair extension page. 

Move Ups are generally between 6-8 weeks depending on how fast your hair grows. Most clients tend to come every 6 weeks.

If you have blonde extensions and want to go darker they can be darkened however the color may need to be refreshed more often on extensions. If you have darker extensions and want to go lighter then you will need to purchase new extensions.
